Genus Ammotrechesta Roewer 1934

Diagnosis:


Maury (1976) characterized the genus as follows:

 

Nothopuginae con los tarsos II y III con 1.2/2.4 espinas y con los tarsos IV con 2.2.2/2.4 espinas. Dedo móvil de los quelíceros sin dien medio; no hay diente basal interno. Dedo fijo de los quelíceros con 2 anteriores.


[Nothopuginae with tarsi II and III with 1.2/2.4 spines and tarsus IV with 2.2.2/2.4 spines. Movable finger of the chelicera without intermediate tooth; no internal basal tooth. Fixed finger of the chelicera with 2 anterior teeth.]

Comments:

 

Maury (1976) observed that, within this genus, it may be difficult to identify females and juveniles to species, and pointed out that this is a widespread problem in the Solifugae.
