GenBank ® is the NIH genetic sequence database, an annotated collection of all publicly available DNA sequences. GenBank is part of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration, which comprises the DNA DataBank of Japan (DDBJ), the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA), and GenBank at NCBI. These three organizations exchange data on a daily basis. GenBank is searchable by taxon (such as Solifugae) to see what publicly available data is available for that taxon.
MorphoBank is a data repository and collaborative tool used to produce, edit, illustrate, and annotate morphological character matrices for phylogenetic analysis. MorphoBank is project-based, meaning a team of researchers can create a project and share the images and associated data exclusively with each other. When a paper associated with the project is published, the research team can make their data permanently available for view on MorphoBank where it is then archived. Users can browse projects and sort by taxon.
International Society of Arachnology (ISA)
The International Society of Arachnology (ISA) is the premier international scientific society devoted to arachnology. ISA focuses on all arachnid orders. Currently ISA has about 500 members from 70 countries. ISA's goals are to promote the study of Arachnology and communication of arachnological information among researchers via meetings and publications.
American Arachnological Society
The purpose of the American Arachnological Society is to further the study of Arachnids, foster closer cooperation and understanding between amateur and professional arachnologists, and to publish the Journal of Arachnology. It accomplishes this purpose in three main ways:
