Diagnosis:


Roewer (1934) characterized the genus as follows:

 

"Ammotrechinae, deren 2. und 3. Tarsus ventral mit jeweils 1.2.2.2.1 Dornen und deren 4. Tarsus ventral mit 2.2/2/2.2 Dornen bewehrt ist (Abb. 335, e, i); Cheliceren am unbeweglichen Finger mit 2 Vorderzähen vor dem Zwischenzahn und am beweglichen Finger mit 1 medialen Wangenzahn neben dem Hauptzahn (Abb. 339, c, d und 340, c)."


[Ammotrechinae whose 2nd and 3 Tarsus each bear 1.2.2.2.1 ventral spines and whose 4th tarsus bears 2.2/2/2.2 ventral spines (Fig. 335, e, i); Immovable finger of chelicerae with 2 anterior teeth in front of the median tooth and movable finger with 1 medial cheek tooth next to the main tooth (Fig. 339, c, d and 340, c).]
